PulseSwap Bridge - USDC to PulseChain (hUSDC)

PulseSwap Bridge

USDC warp routes to PulseChain

The PulseSwap bridge tab moves USDC with Hyperlane warp routes between PulseChain and six other chains: Ethereum, Optimism, Polygon, Base, Arbitrum, and Avalanche. What lands on PulseChain is hUSDC, not the USDC you would receive from the official PulseChain bridge. The amount is one for one, and gas is quoted on top - origin and destination - and is not taken out of the USDC.

The bridge tab is a narrow USDC warp, not the official PulseChain bridge. The official bridge at bridge.pulsechain.com is a different system: it is the Ethereum route, including ether itself, and a transfer started on one cannot be finished on the other. Do not treat the two as one contract.

How the bridge works

What is hUSDC?

hUSDC is the bridge receipt on PulseChain. When you send USDC through the PulseSwap bridge tab, the destination token on PulseChain is hUSDC. It is not the USDC you would receive from the official PulseChain bridge. The amount is one for one, so 1 USDC in becomes 1 hUSDC on PulseChain. hUSDC is tradeable on PulseChain DEXes like any other PRC-20.

How to bridge USDC to PulseChain

  1. Open the bridge tab and select USDC. Confirm the destination token on PulseChain is hUSDC.
  2. Set the amount and the destination chain. Gas is quoted on top, origin and destination.
  3. Connect your wallet and approve the USDC spend.
  4. Sign the bridge transaction. hUSDC arrives on PulseChain one for one.
  5. Get a little PLS after hUSDC arrives. The bridge can deliver to an empty PulseChain wallet, but the swap after that needs gas.

For ether or an Ethereum-native asset, use the official PulseChain bridge, not the USDC tab. The two do not complete each other's transfers. A wrong recipient address is not recoverable.

Bridge FAQ

What is hUSDC on PulseSwap's bridge?

The bridge tab moves USDC with Hyperlane warp routes between PulseChain and six other chains. What lands on PulseChain is hUSDC, not the USDC you would receive from the official PulseChain bridge. The amount is one for one, and gas is quoted on top and not taken out of the USDC.

Which chains does the PulseSwap bridge support?

PulseChain plus Ethereum, Optimism, Polygon, Base, Arbitrum, and Avalanche. The bridge moves USDC over Hyperlane warp routes between these chains.

Is the PulseSwap bridge the same as the official PulseChain bridge?

No. The PulseSwap bridge tab is a USDC warp route that delivers hUSDC on PulseChain. The official bridge at bridge.pulsechain.com is the Ethereum route, including ether, and a transfer started on one cannot be finished on the other.

Do I need PLS after bridging?

Yes. The bridge can deliver hUSDC to an empty PulseChain wallet, but the swap after that needs gas. Get a little PLS after hUSDC arrives for the next PulseChain transaction.
